Product overview: Weathering steel, That is, atmospheric corrosion resistant steel, which is a low-alloy steel series between ordinary steel and stainless steel. The weathering steel is made of ordinary carbon steel with a small amount of corrosion resistant elements such as copper and nickel, which has the characteristics of high quality steel, such as strength, toughness, plastic elongation, molding, welding, cutting, abrasion, high temperature, fatigue resistance, etc; The weather resistance is 2~8 times of that of plain carbon steel, and the painting performance is 1.5~10 times of that of plain carbon steel. At the same time, it has the characteristics of rust resistance, corrosion resistance and life extension of components, thinning and consumption reduction, labor saving and energy saving.

Technical standards: TB/T 1979-2014 
This standard specifies the size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of atmospheric corrosion resistant steel for railway vehicles, steel grade representation, technical requirements, test methods, packaging, marks and quality certificates.
This standard is applicable to hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel plates, strips and sections of atmospheric corrosion resistant steels for railway vehicles.
Reason for corrosion resistance: Corrosion resistant structural steel is added with a small amount of alloy elements, such as Cu、P、Cr、Ni、 Etc. It makes it form a dense and well adhesive amorphous oxide protective film on the surface of the metal substrate, so that the corrosion process of steel can hardly be carried out in depth. The longer the time is, the denser the protective film will be, the more obvious the corrosion resistance will be, and it has a higher atmospheric corrosion resistance, which is better than the general exposed metal structural steel. At the initial stage of corrosion, the rust layer on the surface of weathering steel is denser than that of carbon steel, and there are fewer cracks and holes; After 25 days, the carbon steel and weathering steel appeared delamination locally, and there was no difference in corrosion products, mainly due to the role of alloy elements in the rust layer. The precipitation of Cu and Cr alloy elements in the rust layer of weathering steel can resist the invasion of water vapor and harmful ions in the atmosphere and prevent further corrosion of the base metal. So as to achieve the function of atmospheric corrosion resistance!

Product overview: ND steel, namely 09CrCuSb steel, is currently the most ideal steel for "low temperature dew point corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid" at home and abroad. ND steel also has the ability to resist chloride corrosion. The main reference index of ND steel pipe (immersion in 50% H2SO4 solution at 70 ℃ for 24 hours) is higher than the corrosion resistance of carbon steel, similar steel imported from Japan and stainless steel. After being used by major domestic refineries and manufacturers, the products are widely praised and have achieved good results.

Product overview: Q450NQR1 High strength weathering steel is a new type of weathering steel developed by iron and steel company, which is suitable for railway freight car steel. No welding performance test has been conducted before batch production. Relevant literature shows that some companies that have used such steel have tested their welding performance, but the research work is mainly based on the characteristics of domestic enterprises and production needs, and the test results are not universal.

Q450NQR1 high-strength weathering steel has rust resistance, which makes components corrosion resistant and prolongs life, reduces thickness and consumption, saves energy and saves energy. Steel with high strength and good corrosion resistance. The phosphorus content in the raw material is high, and the phosphorus element in the base metal will be converted into weld element during welding, so the welded joint is fragile and the crack resistance is reduced; Therefore, when selecting welding materials, materials with good toughness and crack resistance should be selected. In order to ensure that the mechanical properties of the base metal meet the design requirements, it is necessary to recheck the base metal, which provides a reference for the mechanical property testing of welded joints.
